Tony Gunawan, a revered figure in international badminton, aiming to inspire and develop Team USA’s next generation of badminton athletes. Born in Surabaya, Indonesia, Tony initially gained global acclaim representing his home country, where he secured an Olympic gold medal in men’s doubles in 2000 and won the World Championships in 2001. After moving to the United States and adopting it as his new home, Tony continued his streak of excellence by clinching the World Championship title once again in 2005 with partner Howard Bach, winning the first of its kind for the USA.
Tuan La is an entrepreneur, health care professional, and former nationally ranked athlete, winning gold in boys doubles at the 2003 CIF championships and the 2006 USA Badminton Junior National Championships - the only Vietnamese American to hold both titles to date. He is passionate about investing in marginalized communities and building the next generation of athletes to represent Team USA.

He is a former nationally ranked athlete, winning Gold in Boys Doubles in the 2006 CIF Championships and currently serves on the USA Badminton Athletes Representative Council.
